Commercial building fire on Rainford Road, Bickerstaffe

We are writing to provide the community with an update regarding the ongoing incident on Rainford Road, Bickerstaffe. 

At 06:16 on 30 June, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended a commercial building fire on Rainford Road, Bickerstaffe. Six breathing apparatus, the water tower, two hose reel jets and one main line jet are currently being used to bring the fire under control.

If you can see or smell smoke you are advised to keep your doors and windows closed. The public are asked to stay away from the area to allow emergency services to work safely. The incident is still ongoing, and crews will remain on scene for some time.
